• This year, about 635,000 Americans will have a new coronary attack, and about 280,000 will have a recurrent attack.
   
• About 29% of patients with MI are patients with STEMI.
   
• The most common inpatient cardiovascular procedures in 2010 were cardiac catheterization and angioplasty accounting for about 26% of all cardiovascular procedures.
   
• Only 10% of STEMI transfer patients receive PCI within 90 minutes, compared to 63% for direct-arrival patients.
